Privacy Policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Solto Apps ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Grynd apps for iOS and Android and the website at grynd.soltoapps.top (together, the "Service").

Grynd is a workout logger. You can plan a week, record sets, review a calendar and charts, and optionally train with a team. Read this policy with our Terms of Use.

1. Who we are

Solto Apps publishes Grynd. For privacy requests, email hello@soltoapps.top.

2. Accounts are optional

You can use the personal logger without creating an account. Routines and workout logs then stay on the device. An account is required for personal cloud sync, for creating or joining a team, and for team chat.

3. Information you provide

Depending on how you use Grynd, we process:

  • Account. Email address and password when you create an account, sign in, or reset a password. Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase Authentication. We do not store your account password in the Grynd database.
  • Profile. Display name, weekly workout goal, target body weight, and goal notes.
  • Preferences. Whether sounds, haptics, the voice guide, and personal cloud sync are turned on.
  • Training data. Routines (days, exercises, planned sets, targets, rest times, and rest days) and workout logs (exercise name, set, reps, weight, duration, completion, date, and status such as in progress, completed, or cancelled).
  • Teams. Team name, join code, a salted hash of the team password, the coach's identifier, and member identifiers. The team password is separate from your account password. We store the team password only as a salted hash, not as readable text.
  • Chat. Text you send in a team, with your display name, a timestamp, and the message. Messages are limited to 2,000 characters. Chat does not accept images, video, or files.

4. Information that stays on your device

Personal routines and workout logs are stored locally (SwiftData on iOS, Room on Android). Session credentials are kept in the iOS Keychain or in Android encrypted storage. If personal cloud sync is off, those personal logs are not uploaded.

The voice guide uses the phone's own speech synthesizer for exercise cues and the last ten seconds of a rest timer. Grynd does not record your voice. The apps do not request microphone, camera, photo library, contacts, or location access.

5. Information processed to run the Service

When you use an account, Firebase Authentication processes registration, sign-in, password reset, and deletion of that authentication record. Cloud Firestore stores your profile and, when you turn on cloud sync or use a team, your synced routines, workouts, team records, and chat.

Grynd does not include a third-party advertising SDK or a separate product-analytics SDK. This website does not set advertising cookies and does not load a third-party analytics tag. The site is a set of public pages. Your browser still sends the host the usual technical data required to deliver a page, such as IP address and user agent.

6. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide the planner, live session, calendar, and charts
  • Sync personal training data when you turn cloud sync on
  • Operate teams, including the shared week, the coach view of team-linked sessions, and text chat
  • Authenticate you, reset a password, and delete an account you request
  • Reply to email you send us
  • Protect the Service against abuse and keep stored data available

We do not sell personal information. We do not use workout logs to advertise to you.

7. Who can see team information

Personal logs are for you. A coach can see team-linked sessions and recent progress for members of a team they run. Other members of that team can see the shared plan and the text chat. Do not put information in chat that you would not want the group to keep. Messages stay in the team history. The app does not offer edit or delete for a message after it is sent.

We share information with Google as our infrastructure provider, as described below, and if the law requires us to disclose it. We do not give workout data to advertisers or data brokers.

8. Cloud sync and offline use

Cloud sync for personal routines and workouts is a switch in Profile. Turn it off and new personal logs stay on the device. Team plans, membership, and chat always use Cloud Firestore so the group can share one plan. If the network drops, the apps keep working locally and send team updates when the connection returns.

9. Service providers

We use Google Firebase:

  • Firebase Authentication for email-and-password accounts, password reset, and deletion of the authentication user
  • Cloud Firestore for profiles, synced workouts, routines, teams, and chat

We do not use Firebase Cloud Storage. Google processes this data to provide the infrastructure. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

10. Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from Profile after entering your password. That removes the Firebase Authentication user and your Grynd profile, including the email lookup record. Local workouts remain on the device. The app states that before you confirm.

Workout documents already stored in the cloud, your identifier on a team roster, and chat messages you sent are not erased automatically. They are part of a shared team record. Email hello@soltoapps.top if you want us to delete personal workout logs that are still in the cloud. We may keep a short record of the request where we need it for a dispute or a legal duty.

Signing out does not delete the cloud account. It returns the app to a local session and turns personal cloud sync off.

11. Security

Account passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication. Team join passwords are stored as salted hashes. Transport to Firebase uses HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Use a unique password, and share a team code and team password only with people who should be in that group.

12. Children

Grynd is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete the account we can identify.

13. International processing

Firebase may process and store information in the United States and in other countries where Google operates. Those countries may not provide the same data-protection rules as the country where you live.

14. Your choices

  • Use Grynd with no account
  • Turn personal cloud sync off
  • Turn sounds, haptics, and the voice guide off
  • Sign out, or delete the account in Profile
  • Email us to access, correct, or ask for deletion of personal information we still hold
  • Uninstall the app to remove its local data from that device, subject to your phone's own backups

If the law where you live gives you additional rights — for example to object, to restrict processing, or to lodge a complaint with a regulator — you can exercise them by emailing us. We will tell you if we need more information to verify the request.

15. This website

grynd.soltoapps.top publishes product information, this policy, and the Terms of Use. It does not require an account. If we later add analytics or non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first.

16. Changes

We will post changes on this page and revise the date above. If a change materially expands how we use account or workout data, we will also give notice in the app, or by email where we have a practical way to reach you.
